The Information Governance and Health Records Management e-Learning provides NHS and other healthcare staff with the knowledge required to effectively manage healthcare information and patient records.
The e-learning provides an introduction to the law, rights and principles of information governance; covers the requirements and obligations for recording and storing personal data (both of staff and patients) securely and confidentially and for using, disclosing and sharing personal information appropriately. Principles of good records management, the records lifecycle and the golden rules of record keeping are discussed.
The Information Governance and Health Records Management e-Learning has been designed as an alternative to the Department of Health Information Governance Toolkit, meeting the IG Toolkit Level 2 requirements.
