The Safeguarding Adults at Risk (Level 1) e-Learning provides training on safeguarding adults at risk of abuse for public-facing staff within public, private and voluntary sector organisations.
The package defines safeguarding and describes the importance of dignity and respect in individual-centred care; raises awareness of adults at risk and the nature and scope of adult harm and abuse; defines the main categories of abuse and illustrates common indicators of abuse, neglect and exploitation; and details the role and responsibility of staff in reporting the suspicion or disclosure of abuse following multi-agency safeguarding policies and referral procedures.
