Safeguarding Children (Level 1) e-Learning

Safeguarding children is the protection of children from abuse and neglect. All staff working within healthcare environments have a duty to protect children the children that they come into contact with and to ensure that they are safeguarded from harm.

The Safeguarding Children (Level 1) e-Learning provides an introduction to safeguarding children. The e-learning module introduces the legislation, principles and procedures for working with children and families; explains the different types of abuse that can occur; provides examples of the possible indicators or each type of abuse and highlights the responsibility of staff in disclosing and referring cases of abuse and neglect.
